Push for the Post

The MLB postseason has been going on now for a whole week, and two teams are all ready in the Penent. The Rockies and Phillies are tied as of today 1 all. The Yanks have seen yet another walk off by the stud Mark Texaria in a victory over the Twins.

Mr. Late Night

Seth Smith, Colorado Rockies Outfielder, and reigning NL Player of the week, did it again with the bases loaded two outs in the bottom of the the ninth. He hit a liner to second baseman Brandon Phillips. Phillips dove and had it bounce off the tip of hi glove, and roll into the outfield. He quickly picked it up, but stumbled. That allowed pinch runner Jason Marquis to score from second. Seth Smith has done 91.5% of his damage in the 7th inning or later.
As of now the Rolling Rockies are 4 up on the Giants in the Wild Card race, and only 2 1/2 behind the falling Dodgers in the West.

NBA

The LA Lakers, Reigning World Champions acquired Ron Artest from the Houston Rockets. My guess is that the Champs will be looking to repeat their title. Artest and Kobe Briant has some fireworks go of in last seasons playoffs. Artest was thrown from the game, but Briant remained in. Do you think Artest will be a good addition to the Lakers????
The Cleveland Cavs, this offseason acquired one of the biggest names in the NBA, Shaquiel O'Neil, former Suns players was picked up by the Cavs. LeBron James and Shaq might make the Cav's offense a deadly weapon. You never know.

NFL

Micheal Vick, former Atlanta Falcon, was just signed by Philly's Eagles. I honestly don't think he should be allowed to play after committing a federal crime in dog fighting. Andy Reed of the Eagles is giving Vick a chance. He was signed during the Eagles first preseason game, for 1 million the first year and an optional 5 million the second year.
Donte Stahllworth was suspended for the whole 2010 NFL football season. He met with the NFL's commissioner; Roger Goodell. He is being charged with Drunk Driving and a murder case of a 53 year old man.
Micheal Crabtree a high NCAA prospect is still yet to sign with San Fransisco. The niners coaching staff is beginning to get worried in Crabtree's decision.

Tulo

Colorado's Free Swinging Short Stop, Troy Tulowitzki Has done it all here in the month of August.
That includes hitting for the Cycle, and helping the Rockies win. In august the Rockies have won most of their games. They are leading the wild card and are slimming the LA Dodgers Lead to now only 5 games. Now back to the Matter, Will Tulo lead the Rockin' Rockies to another postseason appearance? The Rockies are going into Miami to play the Marlins and then after that a four game set agaisnt the Nationals. Tory is a big part of the Colorado offesne and a canidate for National League Gold Glove, but it'll be a close race with the Phllies Jimmy Rollins.

Now Troy Tulowitzki is only the Second Player in MLB history to Turn an unassisted Triple Play a hit for the Cycle. He is also one of my favorite players because he playes with heart and soul, and is inspired to win.
But the Real Question is; will he stay hot?

All Star Game

The 2009 Baseball All Star Game was held in St. Louis. When The All Star Break is in a city it usually means screaming fans, and baseballs flying all around in the atmosphere. The All Star Break is usually kicked off with a Home Run Derby. Prince Fielder Stepped up to the plate hitting 11 in round one, to help advance him to the second round. He finished in 1st place. The Role of winning the Home run Derby is "Fit for a Prince."
Two Days Later the MLB's two leagues squared off in a 9 inning game to decide which league will have home field advantage during the World Series. Charlie Manuel's National League lost 3-4. But when Brad Hawpe of the Colorado Rockies, Shot a line drive into Left Center field Carl Crawford Went up and came dome like a brick, holding a baseball. There was 1 other runner on base so, if Crawford Let's the ball go the National League might have won by one, instead of loose by one.
